Il Progetto IT4NUEVOO - The Project IT4NUEVOO
Ogni produttore di olio extravergine di oliva (EVOO) è consapevole che la qualità dell’olio prodotto ha un ruolo chiave nella strategia per incoraggiare nuove occasioni di consumo e affrontare le sfide di un mercato globale. Tuttavia allo stato attuale in tutti i Paesi produttori è sensibilmente più alta la quantità di olio vergine di oliva (VOO) di scarsa qualità piuttosto che di EVOO. Dall’analisi di contesto è evidente che la dimensione aziendale degli oleifici (micro e piccola PMI) rende molto difficile o impossibile l'investimento nella ricerca per sviluppare tecnologie, protocolli di estrazione o nuovi prodotti. Il progetto IT4NUEVOO ha avuto come obiettivo l'ottimizzazione del processo di estrazione al fine di migliorare le rese di estrazione della materia grassa e delle sostanze antiossidanti presenti nelle drupe. La ricerca industriale e lo sviluppo sperimentale del progetto sono stati finalizzati allo sviluppo di un nuovo prodotto alimentare denominato NUEVOO e alla messa a punto di un protocollo di produzione che integri il ciclo produttivo con nuove macchine per migliorare l’estrazione dei composti polifenolici.

Antonello da Messina (ca. 1430-1479) was one of the most groundbreaking and influential painters of the Quattrocento. No other Italian artist of the fifteenth-century responded in such a direct fashion to the great masters of Bruges and Brussels (including use of their oil technique), to the brilliant Provencal painters, and to the established giants of Italian art, such as Piero della Francesca and Mantegna. In so doing he created unique images with a harmonious and geometrical clarity, yet included exquisite descriptive passages. Although Antonello worked primarily in Sicily, his travels to Naples and Venice were influential to the development of his style, and where he in turn had an enormous impact on painting.
