International migration, the flow of people across international boundaries, has been studied from several perspectives, especially since the Syrian civil war in 2011. Migration, Identity and Politics in Turkey from the Ottoman Empire to Today aims to explore the motivation of migration, the social integration or disintegration, the migration process to the host country and the development and creation of new migrant identities. A lot of studies deal with the subject of international migration, especially regarding the civil rights of migrants, economic impacts of migration, or international policies related to migration, but a micro based analysis on migrants’ culture, political, social identities and attitudes, generational transformation, moral and mental stated historical approach is limited.
