The Charles Fulk & Sarah Custer Fulk Family
Charles Fulk (ca. 1794-1881), son of John and Eve (Biller?) Fulk, married 1826 Sarah "Sally" Custer in Rockingham Co., Va. She was the daughter of Richard Custer, Sr. and Jane Humble. She was born ca. 1794 and died 1869 of old age in Brocks Gap, Rockingham Co., Va. Charles and Sarah lived on a farm which she had inherited from her father in Brocks Gap in what is now the Riverside Church area of Fulks Run. Descendants live in Virginia, Maryland, Illinois, North Dakota, Georgia and elsewhere

Benjamin Doxey Barker (1810-1898) married Margaret Warren in 1838, and immigrated in 1848 from Ireland to Frontenac County, Ontario, and about 1851/1852 immigrated to Will County, Illinois, moving in 1867 to Livingston County, Illinois. Descendants lived in Illinois, Ohio, Kansas, Arkansas, Utah and elsewhere. Some descendants were Mormons. Includes many ancestors in Ireland and some ancestors in England.
History and Genealogy of the Milk-Milks Family
John Milk was appointed cowherd for the town of Salem, Massachusetts, in 1662. The same year he was chosen for the duty of chimney sweep. He married Sarah Wesson in 1665. They had two children, 1668/9-1670. He died at Salem, ca. 1689. His son, John Milk, Jr. (b. 1668/9), shipwright, married Elizabeth Hempfield in 1689 at Marblehead, Massachusetts. They had two sons, ca. 1690-ca. 1694. He married 2) Mary Scolly in 1707 at Boston. They had three children, 1708-ca. 1713. He died before 1720 at Boston. Descendants listed lived in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Illinois, Michigan, Utah, Iowa, Quebec, Ontario, Kansas and elsewhere. The surname is also spelled Milks. Also includes some other Milk/Milks families.
Roots and Branches of the Herrfort/Herford Family 1992
André Herford/Herrfort was born in 1812 in Ste. Marie-aux-Mines, Alsace, France. He married Anna Somer and they had three children by 1839. Shortly thereafter, André died and Anna and her three children traveled to Canada. One son died on the ship over. Anna and her sons, Andrew and John, settled in the Wilmot or East Zorra Amish-Mennonite communities in southwestern Ontario. Both sons married and had large families. In 1892, part of John's family migrated to Elkton, Michigan while the majority of the Herrforts remained in Ontario. Descendants live in Canada and the United States.
