The Unprized

‘The Unprized’- the title itself reflects the purpose of this very special book. In this book, you will find beautiful poems, meaningful open letters, and powerful articles. This anthology is an attempt to provide a literary outlet for a spectrum of women writers to appreciate the women in their life. The writers were free to interpret the theme as they wished to, which has led to an amalgamation of inspiring and wholesome tales. From friends and family to famous personalities and sometimes even strangers, the women in our lives can have a huge impact on us. This was a chance for the community of women writers to reflect back and “appreciate the unseen”. It was a great opportunity to create a book with women writers from all around India and other countries. The compilers, Ananya Verma and Sarah Jackson really hope that this book sparks a chain of gratitude and appreciation in the minds of the reader.

Autumn Breeze

It is common to think of the crisp air and beautiful festivals that autumn brings us but the symbolic meanings of autumn are more profound. Autumn symbolises: Comfort: The season makes one seek warmth and comfort as the temperatures drop. Balance: During the autumnal equinox, day and night are the same length and ancient cultures associate this with balance. Preservation: Animals prepare for the winter by storing food and creating hibernation spaces depicting preservation of life. Letting go: As trees shed their leaves, autumn illustrates the beauty of letting go. It signifies the temporary nature of everything around us. This anthology tries to paint that very spectrum of life. It is a collection of stories, poems, open letters and quotes written by twenty-five writers. Every piece is like a kiss of the autumnal breeze, bringing and taking away from us love, pain, serenity and disappointment. There is something for everyone that can maybe make one feel a little less alone.

Of all crimes committed against a person, rape is the one that leaves a person feeling the most violated. A rape victim is often left with the feeling that a part of them has been torn apart. Because the feeling is still with them, the victim may have a sense that the crime is continuously occurring. To use another person's body and ignore the soul the resides within is the most egregious crime that one-person can commit against another. Rape victims should get help from a professional to enable them to move on with their life. The Author Yashika Saboo Tried to freak out the pain of those who never let anyone know what they have gone through...This Anthology is a small step from her to Speak for “The Voice That Never Came Out”.
