We are so delighted to publish the book titled “ISRO till 2020”. This book is prepared for the school and college students to gain a sound knowledge on the history of ISRO and we are sure that this will be helpful. This book is presented in a simple language. We have received lot of encouragement from my friends, family and students during the preparation of this “ISRO TILL 2020” and we would like to thank all of them from the bottom of our heart. Valuable feedback and suggestions for the improvement of this work will always be welcome and we hope that this book will meet the expectation of students.

This book gathers the latest advances and innovations in the field of dynamic loads and testing of composite materials and sandwich structures, as presented by international researchers and engineers at the International Symposium on Dynamic Response and Failure of Composite Materials (DRAF), held in Ischia, Italy, on June 21–24, 2022. Contributions include a wide range of topics such as low and high velocity impacts, smart composites, hull slamming, shock and blast, hail and bird impact, damage resistance and tolerance, failure mechanisms, composite structures, delamination and fractures, progressive damage modeling, micromechanics, ballistic impacts, ceramic and CMC, auxetic materials and structures, additive manufacturing, crashworthiness, green composites, and structural health monitoring.
The origin of Aerodynamic Design of Transport Aircraft stems from the time when the author was appointed part-time professor in the Aerospace Faculty of Delft University of Technology. At the time his main activities were those of leading the departments of Aerodynamics, Performance and Preliminary Design at Fokker Aircraft Company. The groundwork for this book started in 1987 as a series of lecture notes consisting mainly of pictorial material with a minimum of English explanatory text. After the demise of Fokker in 1996 one feared that interest in aeronautical engineering would strongly diminish. As a result of this, the course was discontinued and the relationship between the author and the faculty came to an end. Two years later the situation was reappraised, and the interest in aeronautical engineering remained, so the course was reinstated with a former Fokker colleague Ronald Slingerland as lecturer. The lecture notes from these courses form the foundation of this publication.
This book provides a self-contained course in aircraft structures which contains not only the fundamentals of elasticity and aircraft structural analysis but also the associated topics of airworthiness and aeroelasticity.
Whole Body Vibrations: Physical and Biological Effects on the Human Body allows an understanding about the qualities and disadvantages of vibration exposure on the human body with a biomechanical and medical perspective. It offers a comprehensive range of principles, methods, techniques and tools to provide the reader with a clear knowledge of the impact of vibration on human tissues and physiological processes. The text considers physical, mechanical and biomechanical aspects and it is illustrated by key application domains such as sports and medicine. Consisting of 11 chapters in total, the first three chapters provide useful tools for measuring, generating, simulating and processing vibra...
