The aim of this book is to present a broad overview of the theory and applications related to functional calculus. The book is based on two main subject areas: matrix calculus and applications of Hilbert spaces. Determinantal representations of the core inverse and its generalizations, new series formulas for matrix exponential series, results on fixed point theory, and chaotic graph operations and their fundamental group are contained under the umbrella of matrix calculus. In addition, numerical analysis of boundary value problems of fractional differential equations are also considered here. In addition, reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces, spectral theory as an application of Hilbert spaces, and an analysis of PM10 fluctuations and optimal control are all contained in the applications of Hilbert spaces. The concept of this book covers topics that will be of interest not only for students but also for researchers and professors in this field of mathematics. The authors of each chapter convey a strong emphasis on theoretical foundations in this book.
This book reviews current research, including applications of matrices, spaces, and other characteristics. It discusses the application of matrices, which has become an area of great importance in many scientific fields. The theory of row/column determinants of a partial solution to the system of two-sided quaternion matrix equations is analyzed. It introduces a matrix that has the exponential function as one of its eigenvectors and realizes that this matrix represents finite difference derivation of vectors on a partition. Mixing problems and the corresponding associated matrices have different structures that deserve to be studied in depth. Special compound magic squares will be considered. Finally, a new type of regular matrix generated by Fibonacci numbers is introduced and we shall investigate its various topological properties.
This book concerns matrix and operator equations that are widely applied in various disciplines of science to formulate challenging problems and solve them in a faithful way. The main aim of this contributed book is to study several important matrix and operator equalities and equations in a systematic and self-contained fashion. Some powerful methods have been used to investigate some significant equations in functional analysis, operator theory, matrix analysis, and numerous subjects in the last decades. The book is divided into two parts: (I) Matrix Equations and (II) Operator Equations. In the first part, the state-of-the-art of systems of matrix equations is given and generalized invers...
Matrix Theory - Classics and Advances examines matrix theory and its application in solving a series of problems related to natural phenomena and applied science. It consists of eleven chapters divided into two sections. Section 1, "Theory and Progress", discusses the classical problems of matrix theory and its contribution to different fields of pure mathematics. Section 2, "Applications", contains the research related to the application of matrix theory in applied science.
"Generalized Inverses: Algorithms and Applications demonstrates some of the latest hot topics on generalized inverse matrices and their applications. Each article has been carefully selected to present substantial research results. Topics discussed herein include recent advances in exploring of generalizations of the core inverse, particularly in composing appropriate outer inverses and the Moore-Penrose inverse such as OMP, MPO and MPOMP inverses; in analyzing of properties of the BT inverse and the BT-order; in perturbation estimations for the Drazin inverse; in using generalized inverses to solve systems of quaternion matrix equations and Sylvester-type tensor equations under t-product; in computing and approximating the matrix generalized inverses by hyperpower family of iterative methods of arbitrary convergence order; and in studying of the weighted pseudoinverse matrices with singular indefinite weights"--
This book presents original studies on the leading edge of linear algebra. Each chapter has been carefully selected in an attempt to present substantial research results across a broad spectrum. The main goal of Chapter One is to define and investigate the restricted generalized inverses corresponding to minimization of constrained quadratic form. As stated in Chapter Two, in systems and control theory, Linear Time Invariant (LTI) descriptor (Differential-Algebraic) systems are intimately related to the matrix pencil theory. A review of the most interesting properties of the Projective Equivalence and the Extended Hermite Equivalence classes is presented in the chapter. New determinantal rep...
"Linear algebra is the branch of mathematics concerning vector spaces and linear mappings between such spaces. Systems of linear equations with several unknowns are naturally represented using the formalism of matrices and vectors. So we arrive at the matrix algebra, etc. Linear algebra is central to almost all areas of mathematics. Many ideas and methods of linear algebra were generalized to abstract algebra. Functional analysis studies the infinite-dimensional version of the theory of vector spaces. Combined with calculus, linear algebra facilitates the solution of linear systems of differential equations. Linear algebra is also used in most sciences and engineering areas because it allows...
Polynomials are well known for their ability to improve their properties and for their applicability in the interdisciplinary fields of engineering and science. Many problems arising in engineering and physics are mathematically constructed by differential equations. Most of these problems can only be solved using special polynomials. Special polynomials and orthonormal polynomials provide a new way to analyze solutions of various equations often encountered in engineering and physical problems. In particular, special polynomials play a fundamental and important role in mathematics and applied mathematics. Until now, research on polynomials has been done in mathematics and applied mathematic...
