Der anhaltende Lehrkräftemangel wirft Fragen zur Berufszufriedenheit und Gesundheit im Lehramt auf. Die Studie knüpft an bestehende Untersuchungen zur Studien- und Berufswahl von Lehrkräften an und erhebt erstmals Daten zu den sogenannten Basismotiven. Das Anschlussmotiv zeigt sich im Streben nach sozialen Beziehungen, das Leistungsmotiv beschreibt das Bedürfnis nach Kompetenzsteigerung und Vergleich und das Machtmotiv ist durch Verantwortungsübernahme und Führung geprägt. Mithilfe der Messverfahren Motiv-Umsetzungs-Test (MUT) und Operanter Motivtest (OMT) werden sowohl bewusste als auch unbewusste Beweggründe von Lehramtsstudierenden erhoben und verglichen. Die Interpretation der Ergebnisse vor dem Hintergrund der Theorie der Persönlichkeits-System-Interaktionen (PSI-Theorie) ermöglicht konkrete Ansätze für die Studien- und Berufsberatung und der professionellen Selbstreflexion.
