This book is the seventh in a series written by Jake Bussolini. Because of the positive response received from his previous books, Jake took the advice of many of his readers and extracted the many interesting and sometimes controversial subjects from his past books, did a great deal of updating on his research and packaged the new material into this book. Many of the subjects in this book are truly controversial for many experienced anglers who have been using the same angling techniques and fishing myths for most of their life. The author has examined each of these myths, performing detailed tests where needed to prove that scientifically, the myths are no longer valid and may never have been. The title of this book, Fishing Different implies that the book contains discussions of different and unique ways to approach the sport that will make the angling experience more interesting and of course, more successful for all anglers of all ages. To make the reading experience more interesting the author has used history and historical events to support his theories and processes. This is a unique way to increase the reading enjoyment of this book.

It was July 2, 1962, when Jake Bussolini first walked through the doors of Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation as their newest electrical engineer. As he was escorted to a plain gray desk that resembled the hundreds of other desks that cluttered the third floor, Bussolini never dreamed that over the next thirty-two years, he would not only help design and build the Lunar Module that delivered astronauts to the moon, but also climb the corporate ladder to become an integral part of an assignment that would lead Grumman in a startlingly different direction. As he leads others behind closed doors of both executive offices and the corporate board room during challenging times in the defense...

Suspicion

When Ivan's Jewish parents smuggle him out of Germany during World War II, they leave him a letter with two pieces of advice: work hard, and be wary of those offering help. Taking this counsel to heart, Ivan studies diligently and becomes an internationally recognized neuroscientist. He marries and has a son, but his intrinsic distrust of others pushes his family away. When the US government offers him a top-secret assignment working with German and Russian scientists in Iran to develop a new weaponized drug-along with a significant pay raise-Ivan jumps at the opportunity. Soon, however, his suspicious nature forces him to question the work's real purpose. He discovers the German-Russian team are creating a weapon of mass destruction, and his suspicions are confirmed: the CIA didn't plant him as a scientist but as a spy. Meanwhile, Ivan's son, Michael, has become a member of a US Special Operations team. Michael hasn't spoken to his estranged father in years, and he never expects them to meet again. When they do, the circumstances will demand that they rediscover their ability to trust in each other. Their lives may depend on it.

What great news that Jerry is now telling his story in all the detail that it deserves. It will be an indispensable source for future generations who want to understand that historic era.” Charles Murray, co-author, Apollo When author Jerry Bostick was eight years old, his family had indoor plumbing installed in their home. This book is the sixth in a series of books written by Jake Bussolini. It is the last in his series of books that blend the science of fishing with the sport of fishing. This book is directed at the experienced angler and covers a broad range of subjects that the author feels he has not thoroughly covered in his previous books. The first half of this book covers some of the more complex questions about fish health, growth, population and nutrition. Then the subject of Sonar image interpretations are re-visited, going deep into the understanding of what screen images really mean. The author also covers less complicated subjects like the strike zone, using sound to catch fish, selecting the right bait or lure including a look at the authors ten favorite lures. The second half of the book describes several of the fishing experiences of the author including lessons learned from these experiences. The book ends with some brief coverage of filleting your fish, stepping up your equipment and a broad description of the responsibilities of every experienced angler.
