William Beaver (1781-1867) was part of a French Huguenot family that went to Germany before immigrating to America. The family went from New York to Pennsylvania and then to North Carolina. William married Mary Hardcastle in 1798/99. The first record of William Beaver in the United States is on the 1860 census for Barry Co., Missouri. William and Mary had ten children in Missouri and were later buried near Seligman, Barry Co., Missouri. Descendants lived in Missouri, Arkansas, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, California and elsewhere.
