Certificate on parchment. Water damage has rendered much of the text illegible, but in the final paragraph, Bamberg identifies himself as an imperial notary public and affirms that he has written this document. With the document is a leaf with the bookplate of President White Library at Cornell University mounted on it. In a pencilled note at the top of the page, George Lincoln Burr writes, "The document in which this volume is bound is a Bamberg Urkunde of the time of Maximilian II. But only the end of the document and the notaries' certificates are here." Burr also notes the book's original Harris call number, 3695 A53.
