Metaphysik und ihre Kritik bei Hegel und Derrida
Die Rede von einem Ende, einem Niedergang oder auch einer Überwindung der Metaphysik gehört zu den am weitesten verbreiteten Topoi in der Philosophie und über sie hinaus in den Geistes- und Kulturwissenschaften. Im Spannungsfeld zwischen Metaphysik und ihrem angeblichen Ende werden Hegel und Derrida häufig als Repräsentanten der Extreme betrachtet: Während Hegels System wegen seines universalen Welterklärungsanspruchs der Ruf anhaftet, der letzte metaphysische Großentwurf in der europäischen Geistesgeschichte zu sein, wird Derrida oft als Protagonist einer Variante nachmetaphysischen Denkens wahrgenommen, die von einem dezidiert anti-hegelschen Geist getragen ist. Aufgrund einer Analyse der derridaschen Auseinandersetzung mit Hegel zeigt die Studie, dass die verbreitete Entgegensetzung von Hegels vermeintlich metaphysischer und Derridas angeblich postmetaphysischer, hegelfeindlicher Position nicht haltbar ist. Tatsächlich vertreten nicht nur beide metaphysikkritische Positionen, Hegel nimmt außerdem wesentliche sprachbezogene und differenztheoretische Aspekte der Metaphysikkritik Derridas vorweg.
Subjekt und Person
Die Philosophie nach Kant trägt die Signatur der Subjektivität. Dabei ist der Begriff der Subjektivität von Beginn an wesentlich durch die systematische Frage nach dem Verhältnis zwischen dem Subjekt als einer anonymen allgemeinen Struktur von Selbstbezüglichkeit und der personalen Existenz des Menschen als eines je konkreten Einzelnen bestimmt.
