Wireless Personal Communications
The proceedings consists of 19 papers presented at the June 1998 symposium and ten posters. The papers are divided into five sections devoted to the following topics: smart antennas and diversity, propagation, interference cancellation, equalization, and modulation, coding, and networking. The contributions reflect current research thrusts and emerging technologies in wireless communication. Among the topics are frequency reuse reduction for IS-136 using a four element adaptive array, predicting propagation loss from leaky coaxial cable terminated with an indoor antenna, a new hybrid CDMA/TDMA multiuser receiver system, an effective LMS equalizer for the GSM chipset, and evaluation of the ad-hoc connectivity with the zone routing protocols.
