Our Houghton Heritage
John Houghton is believed to be the immigrant ancestor of the author's branch of the Houghton family. He is throught to have emigrated from England sometime in the 1680s. He settled in New Jersey. In the 1800's several branches of the family migrated to Illinois, Kentucky and Indiana. This volume covers family history through the 1980s.
