Representation Theory of Algebras and Related Topics
These proceedings report a number of lecture series delivered during the Workshop on Representation Theory of Algebras and Related Topics held at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) in August 1994. The workshop was dedicated to recent advances in the field and its interaction with other areas of mathematics, such as algebraic geometry, ring theory, and representation of groups. The program of the Workshop consisted of 9 lecture series. In addition there was a Tame Day consisting of 6 lectures reporting on the recent advances in the study of tame algebras and their module categories. During the Workshop there was a session devoted to the exhibition of computer programs developed by participants. These programs are implementations of algorithms related to the calculation of important aspects of algebras and their module categories.

Stochastic Models
This book presents the refereed proceedings of the International Conference on Stochastic Models held in Ottawa (ON, Canada) in honor of Professor Donald A. Dawson. Contributions to the volume were written by students and colleagues of Professor Dawson, many of whom are eminent researchers in their own right. A main theme of the book is the development and study of the Dawson-Watanabe "superprocess", a fundamental building block in modelling interaction particle systems undergoing reproduction and movement. The volume also contains an excellent review article by Professor Dawson and a complete list of his work. Victory on Earth or in Heaven
This work reconstructs the history of Mexico’s forgotten “Religionero” rebellion of 1873–1877, an armed Catholic challenge to the government of Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada. An essentially grassroots movement—organized by indigenous, Afro-Mexican, and mestizo parishioners in Mexico’s central-western Catholic heartland—the Religionero rebellion erupted in response to a series of anticlerical measures raised to constitutional status by the Lerdo government. These “Laws of Reform” decreed the full independence of Church and state, secularized marriage and burial practices, prohibited acts of public worship, and severely curtailed the Church’s ability to own and administer property. A comprehensive reconstruction of the revolt and a critical reappraisal of its significance, this book places ordinary Catholics at the center of the story of Mexico’s fragmented nineteenth-century secularization and Catholic revival.
Trends in Ring Theory
The Ring Theory Conference, held a the University of Miskolc, Hungary, successfully accomplished its two goals: to reflect contemporary trends in the subject area; and to offer a meeting place for a large number of Eastern European algebraists and their colleagues from around the world. Particular emphasis was placed on recent developments in the following four areas: representation theory, group algebras, PI algebras and general ring theory. This book presents 13 of the invited lectures.
