The Mystery of Tongues

The speaking in Tongues in Churches has been of significant controversy in many Christian circles, with some even openly rejecting it as part of their doctrine. Some believe it died with the Apostles of Jesus Christ. To those who believe, it is a gift of God by the Holy Spirit, that enables the believer to connect to his or her spiritual umbilical cord, receiving spiritual strength and nourishment from the Father. It is also the means by refueling and powering up one’s faith and ability to do what Christ said His disciples would do. In The Mystery of Tongues, the author reveals how God the Father desired that the Israelites hear His voice and know Him, but rejected His offer, and asked Moses to represent them at Mount Sinai. Jesus in John 10 spoke about the sheep knowing the voice of their shepherd. Tongues is a spiritual language for the believer in Christ, as our natural languages are to our various nationalities. The Bible teaches that the one who speaks in tongues has an advantage over one who does not. Medical science has also proved that to be true. I hope this book will bring illumination and enlightenment to many.

When A Mother Cares

Women from time immemorial have been agents of change; either through their children, as Rebecca and Mary, or through their husbands, as Pilate’s wife and Abigail, who saved their families from calamities. Rebecca through her knowledge about Jacob, restrained Esau from receiving the generational blessing as a first born and sacrificed her life to have it go to Jacob as recorded in Genesis 27. Mary by her knowledge about Jesus was able to raise Him according to the angelic revelation and helped launched His ministry even when He was not ready as in John 2. When a woman who knows the value, purpose and destiny of a child, sacrifices all her world and go an extra mile to bring that life and d...

God Is Still Hiring

Men and women over the years have prevailed before God and changed situations. Moses stopped God in His anger, Abraham tried stopping the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Joshua stopped the sun from setting and Hezekiah turned the clock backwards. Some stopped the mouth of lions from opening, quenched fires by their word and received their dead back to life. These were called heroes of faith and now is your turn to experience this same grace. When we look around us we see chaos, pain, suffering and evil. Men and women of dignity and power are falling daily. Families are torn apart and hopes shattered because somebody refused to pray. God is counting on you to change situations and restore order wherever you are. God is Still Hiring is a captivating, convincing, compelling and challenging book that will augment your effectiveness and efficiency in experiencing the above testimonies in your personal life if you respond to God’s call to change lives and situations. Are you looking for something to ignite your faith, instruct you and improve your prayer life? Are you eager to get things done God’s way? God Is Still Hiring is a great resource for prayer.

Forgiveness

The secret to being able to go through the rough “terrain” of life’s journey is the ability to know how to deal with pain. Living in an imperfect world exposes us to offences, creating pain and sometimes suffering. Life by itself is generally unfair and some people may exploit situations to their advantage, regardless of how careful one can be. Offenses have the power to take from an individual the ability to live the fullness of life, as depicted in Proverbs 18:14: “The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?” In Forgiveness: The Key To Wholeness, Pastor Joseph Essilfie teaches on how to deal with and overcome forgiveness; understanding why some people are who they are; the source, purpose and stigma of offenses and un-forgiveness. He reveals truths that has the potency to help heal and deal with an offense, overcome it and become liberated.

The training of African Christian ministers had been a matter of concern to the erstwhile International Missionary Council, now merged with the World Council of Churches. The reason was that it was believed by some critics that missionaries gave only low priority to theological training. This book recounts how the missionaries actually trained the indigenous leaders in the mission fields. The study covers the world of British, German, Swiss and American Protestant missionaries as well as that of two Roman Catholic orders in seminary training relating to Anglophone West Africa. The value of the book is that its contents, apart from filling a vacuum in the ecclesiastical history of West Africa, will supply the factual basis upon which an objective evaluation can be given about the efforts of the Western missionary theological training until 1970.
