As imagens, que incluem práticas de trabalho, religiosidade e lazer, foram registradas pelo fotógrafo Seu Zé durante décadas de vivências em comunidades rurais de Cachoeira, São Félix, Maragogipe, Coqueiros, Santiago do Iguape, São Francisco do Paraguaçu, Acupe, dentre outras localidades.
