Guillermo Calles
In 1912, Guillermo Calles (1893-1958) became the first Mexican actor to appear in films made in California. Despite limited resources, he began directing and producing his own movies, and in 1929 pioneered production of Spanish-language sound films. His major works, among them the long-unavailable El indio yaqui and Raza de bronce (both 1927), represented Calles' tireless crusade to restore the image of Mexicans and Indians in an era dominated by Hollywood stereotypes. This biography traces Calles' career from his earliest Hollywood days through the 1950s. Included are the only surviving images of the filmmaker's silent productions, a closing commentary on his intimate circle of relatives, and an appendix featuring two fascinating letters written by Calles during a filming trip.
On Location in Cuba
This study focusses on what the author calls Street Filmmaking - the production of audiovisual artists who work outside the state film industry - to examine the island's transformation and changing notions of Cuban identity.

Para la elaboración de esta obra, realizada bajo la dirección de Guillermo Cerdeira Bravo de Mansilla (Catedrático —acreditado— de Derecho Civil de la Universidad de Sevilla), se ha contado con la coautoría de verdaderos especialistas, combinándose en armonía representantes del mundo académico y del Notariado de toda España. Entre los notarios, Luis Bustillo Tejedor (Notario en las Islas Baleares), José Eduardo García Pérez (en Ceuta), José Manuel Gómez-Riesco Tabernero de Paz (en Cáceres), y Mª Carmen Vela Fernández (en Sevilla), así como Leonardo Pérez Gallardo (Profesor y Notario en La Habana). Dentro del mundo académico, junto al profesor Cerdeira, han sido coautores de la obra los profesores titulares (acreditados) Ángel Acedo Penco (de la Universidad de Extremadura), y Paula Díaz Pita (de la de Sevilla).

EDICIÓN EN DVD. La Dirección General de los Registros y del Notariado fue suprimida por Real Decreto 139/2020, de 28 de enero, por el que se establece la estructura orgánica básica de los departamentos ministeriales (artículo 2.2), siendo el órgano directivo que asume sus funciones la Dirección General de Seguridad Jurídica y Fe Pública. El Anuario del año 2019, que ahora se publica, presenta una división más racional para facilitar el uso y la consulta de sus contenidos y al mismo tiempo aprovechar las ventajas que nos ofrece la tecnología. La obra se presenta en tres grandes apartados. El apartado primero recoge las resoluciones relacionadas con la Subdirección General del Notariado y de los Registros. El apartado segundo está integrado por las resoluciones y consultas emitidas por la Dirección General de los Registros y del Notariado en relación con las materias de Nacionalidad y Estado Civil. El apartado tercero aglutina información relacionada con ambas Subdirecciones y está integrado por la Organización de la Dirección y Cuerpos dependientes de la misma y Estadísticas. ISSN: 2660-6453
