Advances In Quantum Flux Parametron Computer Design: Studies In Josephson Supercomputers

This volume reports new developments on work in the Quantum Flux Parametron (QFP) project. It makes complete a series on Josephson Supercomputers, which includes four earlier volumes, also published by World Scientific. QFP technology has great potential especially in the design of computer architecture. It is regarded as being able to go beyond the horizon of current technology, and is a leading direction for the advancement of computer technology in the next decade.

Dc Flux Parametron: A New Approach To Josephson Junction Logic

The direct current flux parametron using Josephson junction and based on the principle of parametron seems to be the answer for the search of new technology for the future needs of computer power. The combination of its very high switching speed and highly integrable Josephson junction with the established parametron computer technology accounts for its high performance. This book presents the new type of Josephson computer technology which is fundamentally different from the conventional approach. In this approach, a logic state is represented by a flux polarity whereas the conventional approach uses a voltage state to represent a logic state.

This volume presents the proceedings of the 10th International Conference of the Computer Graphics Society, CG International '92, Visual Computing - Integrating Computer Graphics with Computer Vision -, held at Kogakuin University, Tokyo in Japan from June 22-26,1992. Since its foundation in 1983, this conference has continued to attract high quality research articles in all aspects of computer graphics and its applications. Previous conferences in this series were held in Japan (1983-1987), in Switzerland (1988), in the United Kingdom (1989), in Singapore (1990), and in the United States of America (1991). Future CG International conferences are planned in Switzerland (1993), in Australia (...

Between Mind And Computer: Fuzzy Science And Engineering

The “Fuzzy Explosion” emanating from Japan has compelled more people than ever to ponder the meaning and potential of fuzzy engineering. Scientists all over are now beginning to harness the power of fuzzy recognition and decision-making — reminescent of the way the human mind works — in computer applications. In this book a blue-ribbon list of contributors discusses the latest developments in topics such as possibility logic programming, truth-valued flow inference, fuzzy neural-logic networks and default knowledge representation. This volume is the first in a series aiming to document advances in fuzzy set theory and its applications.

Insight Through Computer Graphics - Proceedings Of The Computer Graphics International 1994 (Cg194)

Computer graphics has been advancing to the level of creating completely new worlds inside computers. Through such computer graphics worlds, we human beings now have far improved insight into wide varieties of real worlds starting from fairly simple but exact worlds of curves and surfaces and reaching to complex human worlds. This volume presents a quite concrete and advanced methods, techniques, modeling and mathematical backgrounds which are indispensable in order to carry out end researches to increase insight through computer graphics.
