Shattered Deeds
Cassandra Underwood's a mermaid—a siren, to be exact. She's still in Mettleshre hoping to learn about her mother. Unfortunately, she's encountered a complication. Kai Sinclair, who is a species that is not exactly friendly toward sirens. A ferocious hunter with an ancient vendetta against an entire species As if that wasn't complication enough, now she's gone and saved his life. Oh, and one more complication, as if those weren’t enough. She’s discovered she’s one of the dark ones. Dark ones are responsible for the dark deeds which Kai is permitted to kill without repercussion. Not cool. Why is the universe determined to make these two hate one another? Possibly even kill each other? Something darker is brewing on the horizon, but for now, she’s willing to pretend that everything is fine. She isn’t foolish enough to believe that the dark ones who came after her are gone forever.
