The Glorious Salvation Machine

In a spirit of sanctified humor, this satire skewers the error of the easy-believe gospel and defends the biblical truth that Christians will be changed by the Holy Spirit that indwells and empowers them. Take a rough-n-tumble journey with Peregrinus (Latin for pilgrim) as he, with the help of his mentor Plowman, battles with the errors thrown at him by the likes of such characters as Willy "Rush" Forward, Strawberry Nostrum, Reverend Quacksalver, and Jumping Jack Hallelujah.

Apostasia in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 — Rapture or Apostasy?

The Greek word apostasia in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 has long been understood to be a reference to an exceptional apostasy or departure from the faith in the last days that comes to an explosive climax during the seventieth week under the tyranny of the antichrist. Recently, some prophecy teachers have advanced the idea that apostasia in this verse 3 does not refer to apostasy but the rapture. They claim that the semantic range of apostasia is not limited to spiritual departure but includes physical departure. They also insist that all of the early Bible versions translated apostasia in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 by departure, which they regard as a reference to the church’s physical departure for heaven. Are they correct? Is apostasia in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 a reference to the rapture? Is it a reference to physical departure that should be translated by the word departure? Are translations like falling away, revolt, and apostasy wrong? In this volume I present a mountain of overlooked evidence from Koine Greek, the Church Fathers, and the Bible versions that shouts an emphatic “No!” to all four questions.

The New Heavens and Earth: Recreation or Renovation?

One of the most breathtaking prophecies in the Bible is the promise of the new heavens and earth. In that glorious day the widespread effects of the fall and the curse will be undone. Man will experience unbroken, utopian blessing in his eternal home. But how will the new heavens and earth come about? Will the current heavens and earth cease to exist and be replaced by a second ex nihilo creation as many Bible teachers insist? Or will the current earth be refurbished by earthquake and fire from heaven even as the last earth was refurbished by the flood? In this volume I present several arguments—such as historical precedent, the character of God, the eternality of the earth, and the eternal nature of the kingdom established at the second coming—which combine to make a formidable case that the new heavens and earth will be the current heavens and earth refurbished.

Ten Potent Proofs For The Pretribulation Rapture

"While recently attending the Prophecy Watchers Conference in Colorado Springs at which he and I were speakers, my friend Lee Brainard and I discussed his book. I’ve since looked at it in depth and concluded that it is one of the best treatments of the pretrib rapture I’ve read." Terry James In less than 120 pages, ten distinct arguments are presented which prove that the rapture MUST happen prior to the tribulation, that is, prior to the seventieth week. The church will not see any of the visitations in the book of Revelation. We will not see the antichrist, the false prophet, or the mark of the beast. If you are waffling as to which rapture position is right, or if you have unanswered questions on the subject, or if you want to better understand the pretrib position, this book will definitely help you.

Those who understand the Bible in literal terms are constantly accused of not understanding the Bible in literal terms. Someone will point to the word "all" or "this" or "that" and charge that the Literalist does not take those words literally, therefore they are not truly understanding the Bible in literal terms. Is there any truth to this? Does the Literalist strive to understand the literal meaning of the Bible, and by doing so, is he required to understand every word in its most literal sense? The author sets out to show that within language, while not all words, phrases and verbiage are to be taken literally, all meaning derived from those same words, phrases and verbiage is to be taken literally. It is the actual meaning that matters. What's the difference? Is the Literalist simply pulling the wool over everyone else's eyes, in order to make the Bible say what they want it to say?
