Cross-sectional studies on communication have been widely conducted by researchers from various fields. Besides the pros, contras also downplay our propositions. Hence, the essence of communication in various fields should meet in-depth understanding. This later encourages researchers in social science to study and even to test the beliefs that have been assumed to become evidence. It is vital to configure our perspectives in examining the links between various fields of communication as communication plays roles on professional and personal successes of people, as numerous studies have shown. This book sheds lights on how communication research are conducted in different research areas such as digital communication and digital marketing, language and identity, communication on journalism, communication in news and mass media, pedagogical communication, political communication, ethics and communication, tourism and communication, and women and communication. Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Quran and Hadith Studies Information Technology and Media in Conjunction with the 1st International Conference on Islam, Science and Technology, ICONQUHAS & ICONIST, Bandung, October 2-4, 2018, Indonesia Now-days, Multimedia devices offer opportunities in transforming the Quran and Hadith into different forms of use, and into extended areas of studies. Therefore, Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN (the State Islamic University) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, and UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held jointly the 2nd International Conference on Qur’an and Hadith Studies (ICONQUHAS 2018) and the 1st International Conference on Islam, Science, and Technology (ICONIST2018), with the theme “Qur’an-Hadith, Information Technology, and Media: Challenges and Opportunities”. ICASI 2018
We are delighted to introduce the proceedings of the first edition of Joint Workshop KO2PI and International Conference on Advance & Scientific Innovation 2018 (ICASI 2018). This conference has brought researchers, developers and practitioners around the world who are leveraging and developing scientific technology. The theme of ICASI 2018 was “Empowering Digital Society through Integration of Multidisciplinarity aspect”. The technical program of Joint Workshop KO2PI and ICASI 2018 consisted of 22 full papers, including 4 invited papers in oral presentation sessions at the main conference tracks. The conference tracks were: Track 1 – Computer Security; Track 2 – Big Data and Data Mining; Track 3 – Information Technology and Forecasting; and Track 4 – Social Media Analysis. We strongly believe that Joint Workshop and ICASI 2018 conference provides a good forum for all researcher, developers and practitioners to discuss all science and technology aspects that are relevant to Digital Society. We also expect that the future KO2PI Workshop and ICASI conference will be as successful and stimulating, as indicated by the contributions presented in this volume.
