Design-Driven Research encompasses many different forms of research in which architectural, design, and artistic practices and the results thereof, are implemented as a means to generate and disseminate new knowledge. This includes contemporary alternative formulations of the field, like Artistic Research, Research by Design, Practice-Based/Led Research, Creative Practice Research. CA2RE+ is a joint Erasmus+ strategic partnership of nine European universities in association with EAAE, ELIA and ARENA, and it supports early-career researchers and Ph.D. students to improve the quality of their research. Non sono neanche lezioni di architettura che invece devono essere “in diretta”, adeguarsi agli uditori, al momento, alla temperatura che c'è in aula, come al rumore di fondo di chi borbotta annoiato. Allora cos’è? E' un libro scritto come frammenti o appunti di lettere, da un io che scrive a un tu che legge. È quindi un testo concepito come una conversazione con un vero interlocutore, "uno studente di architettura", in una condizione non formale in cui parlare liberamente, fuori dalle aule, mescolando il personale con il soggettivo, gli studi con i sogni, le memorie con le cose perdute per strada, in una condizione spontanea in cui riuscire a dire la propria verità.
New Metropolitan Perspectives
The book aims to face the challenge of post-COVID-19 dynamics toward green and digital transition, between metropolitan and return to villages’ perspectives. Multidisciplinary Aspects of Design
This open access book gathers the contributions from the Design! OPEN International Conference, held in Parma, Italy in May 2022. The conference explored the multidisciplinary aspects of design starting from its dimensions: objects (design as focused on the object, on its functional and symbolic dimension, and at the same time on the object as a tool for representing cultures), processes (the designer’s self-reflective moment which is focused on the analysis and on the definition of processes in various contexts, spanning innovation, social engagement, reflection on emergencies or forecasting), experiences (design as a theoretical and practical strategy aimed at facilitating experiential interactions among people, people and objects or environments), and narratives (making history, representing through different media, archiving, narrating, and exhibiting design).
