Since 1865 the Incorporated Council of Law reporting has published the monthly Law Reports. In 1866 it embarked on the publication of the Weekly Notes, replaced in 1953 by the Weekly Law Reports, which gave full text judgements combined with headnotes of the same standard as the Law Reports, thereby providing a more immediate reporting service than the main series.
