This book is intended to be a contribution to the Congolese churchs response to the reconciliation and peacemaking process. The authors assumption is that when the local church in the Congo becomes a church family, it will be able to integrate the reconciliation strategies emerging from the culture of the people into the theological reflection and pastoral praxis for peacemaking and reconciliation. Through cultural and Christian rituals, the church must bring together a people divided by conflicts and violence.
