Interessanterweise fand die Kulturgeschichte der Spirituosen demgegenüber bislang nahezu keine vergleichbare Würdigung. Im Gegenteil, die geringe Anzahl an verfügbarer neuerer Fachliteratur hierzu erscheint fast wie eine Art Abstinenz dem Thema gegenüber.
