She's had TV roles as Lynda Block in the Sky One drama series Dream Team, followed by Coronation Street as Mrs Fanshaw for an episode then Carla Connor. King won Best Actress at the British Soap Awards of 2012. She's regarded by the press as a British sex symbol.
Ernestine Jane Geraldine Russell, born on June 21st, 1921, Bemidji, Minnesota, U.S, was a movie actress, model and singer, who was one of Hollywood's leading sex symbols during the '40s and '50s. Russell moved from the Midwestern US to California, where she had her first film role in 1943 in The Outlaw. Jane got into music during 1947, before returning to movies. After starring in several films during the '50s, including Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in 1953, Russell returned to music, while appearing in several other movies in the '60s. She starred in over 20 films in her career.

'70s, emerging from the London punk rock scene as a member of Generation X. Idol later embarked on a solo career, which led to international recognition, Billy becoming a leading artist during the MTV-driven "Second British Invasion" of the US. The name "Billy Idol" was inspired by a schoolteacher's description of him as "idle".

Ava was signed to a contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer during 1941, having appeared mainly in small roles until she attracted attention with her performance in The Killers (1946), opposite Burt Lancaster. Gardner was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Mogambo (1953), having also received BAFTA Award and Golden Globe Award nominations for other roles.
