Le discours rapporté en français
Avant d'être un phénomène grammatical, le discours rapporté est une pratique, sociale et banale, aux formes et aux enjeux multiples. Sa maîtrise relève donc non seulement d'une bonne connaissance de la langue (concordance temporelle et personnelle, transfert d'un discours dans un autre contexte, passage de l'oral à l'écrit ou vice-versa, etc.), mais aussi de la prise en compte des situations de communication et des contraintes des univers de discours. Le présent ouvrage propose une synthèse des approches et des problèmes linguistiques posés par l'étude du discours rapporté, ainsi qu'un répertoire des formes. Il explore l'histoire de ces formes, et illustre leurs contextes variés d'emplois en s'appuyant sur des exemples issus de la littérature classique et contemporaine, de la presse, de l'oral, et des nouveaux genres numériques.
