O sobrenome De Moura no Brasil, tem sua origem a partir do casamento do Capitão Duarte José Ferreira de Albuquerque com Ana Maria Benta Dias Ribeiro de Moura, na genealogia das famílias citadas neste livro. Ele, filho de Antonio Ferreira Homem teve o filho Duarte José Ferreira de Albuquerque A linha de Duarte, remonta ao ramo de Fernão Afonso de Novaes, Senhor do Solar de Novaes e Teresa Viegas da Fonseca, em Portugal, com descendência nos Açores e, destes no Brasil, na pessoa de Antonio Ferreira Homem casado com Rita Machado de Albuquerque descendente paterna de Fernão Jeremias - I Senhor de Ferreira - em 1050. A linha de Ana Benta, unida pelo casamento no Brasil, teve princípio em Domingos Luiz Carvalho, o Carvoeiro , natural de Marinhota, Portugal, cavaleiro da Ordem de Cristo, aqui falecido em 1615, casado com Anna Benta Dias Ribeiro de Moura. Fundadores da Capela de Nossa Senhora da Luz de São Paulo.
