This book on International Migrations aims to show the diversity of topics and problematics contained within immigration, revealing certain situations that make the migratory phenomenon more comprehensible. The text collects the work experience of some members of the Research Unit on International Migrations of the University of Deusto.
This new number of the series is a compilation of ten articles by members or collaborators of the research team in International Migrations of the University of Deusto, belonging to the European network of excellence IMISCOE (International Migration, Social Integration and Cohesion in Europe).
The role of transnational networks at different points in the migratory process and in settling in new locations in the destination country is the central focus of this publication. Ecuadorian immigrants who have come to Spain, and to the Basque Country specifically, are the main protagonists of this research project, which has been carried out within the framework of the International Migrations Research Team of the University of Deusto.

Las distintas contribuciones se articulan en torno a tres ejes, el primero se centra en poner en evidencia las contradicciones entre la pretendida igualdad entre mujeres y hombres y la realidad de los modos de pensamiento y acción que son desiguales; el segundo eje se centra en la literatura del siglo XX y el papel de las mujeres; el tercer eje agrupa artículos que tratan tres temas de actualidad como la inmigración, lo laboral y el trabajo en el hogar, y la violencia doméstica, desde una perspectiva de género.
