Tyto konkrétní nálady vycházejí z událostí a příběhů a jsou zachyceny jazykem, který směřuje především ke zkratce, hutnosti, důrazu na přesné vyjádření a pevný tvar bez okázalých aranží. Pesimismus a poetická drsnost autorových promluv jsou patrnou stylizací, jež je dána neustálou touhou po ostrých obrysech. Děje se tak nejčastěji v prostoru soustředěném na slovo, skrze něž Martin Langer neúnavně hledá cestu k realitě – protože nebo přestože samotná slova jsou často jen naznačeným výrazem skutečnosti.
