Dengan memahami arti hukum acara mahkamah konstitusi maka target pembelajaran agar mahasiswa menguasai legal standing, alur atau proses beracara, kelengkapan dokumen hukum yang dibutuhkan dan sifat putusan. Putusan yang diminta oleh pemohon dan diberikan oleh Mahkamah Konstitusi akan membawa akibat hukum yang tidak hanya mengenai orang seorang, tetapi juga orang lain, lembaga negara dan aparatur pemerintah atau masyarakat pada umumnya, terutama sekali dalam hal pengujian undang-undang terhadap Undang-Undang Dasar (Judicial review). Nuansa public interest yang melekat pada perkara perkara semacam itu akan menjadi pembeda yang jelas dengan perkara pidana, perdata, dan tata usaha negara yang pada umumnya menyangkut kepentingan pribadi dan individu berhadapan dengan individu lain ataupun dengan pemerintah. Ciri inilah yang akan membedakan penerapan hukum acara di Mahkamah Konstitusi dengan hukum acara di pengadilan-pengadilan lainnya.

Pengaruh Media Sosial dan Gerakan Massa Terhadap Hakim
Di era digital saat ini, penggunaan media sosial berkembang begitu pesat dan cepat, bahkan hingga ke pelosok pedesaan. Hampir semua orang (yang memiliki Hp Android) bisa mengakses yang namanya media sosial. Fakta ini memberikan satu pesan kepada kita, bahwa sebuah informasi yang diupload di dunia maya (media sosial) akan langsung di konsumsi oleh publik dalam hitungan detik. Tidak hanya digunakan sebagai sumber informasi/berita, media sosial (seperti facebook, twitter, instagram, dan lainnya) juga digunakan untuk mengemukakan pendapat. Artinya, ketika membaca sebuah “isu” atau informasi yang tersebar di media sosial, masyarakat bisa langsung memberikan tanggapan atau pendapatnya. Nah, tanggapan atau pendapat masyarakat di medsos (singkatan media sosial) inilah yang kemudian memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap sebuah peristiwa. Secara spesifik, karena kita berbicara tentang hakim, tanggapan tersebut berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hakim dalam mengambil keputusan atau memutuskan sebuah perkara.
Courts and Diversity
The Constitutional Court of Indonesia functions in one of the most diverse societies in the world. It is required to resolve disputes within a kaleidoscope of diversity and plurality with flexibility, pragmatism, asymmetry, and wisdom. Whilst national minimum norms are important for nation-building, recognition of local customs, diversities and indigenous systems are equally important to protect the territorial integrity of Indonesia and ensure local peace and stability. Responding to demands of religious plurality, customary lands rights, traditional voting systems, decentralisation to regions and local governments, and responding to diversity of community life, requires extraordinary skill, insight and flexibility. This book gives insight into twenty years of jurisprudence and places it in an international comparison.

The study program of Government Studies and Political Science has been playing significant roles in building best practices of good governance and political ethics through scientific research and community development and opening a space for academic discussion with the main concern “Social and Political Issues”. These activities are in line with the Universitas Jambi’s vision to be “a world-class entrepreneurship university” based on environment and agrotechnology. As part of the efforts to provide a space for academic dialogue at a global level, we organize an international conference that aims to develop scientific knowledge, build institutional capacity, and strengthen networking. We proudly present the proceedings of 2nd International Conference on Law, Economic and Governance 2021 (ICOLEG 2021). It focuses on how the wave of digitalization influences the ethics and law, especially in Law and Democracy, Law and Indigenous People, Law in Contemporary Issues, Law and Economics, Digital Economics, Good Governance etc. As we know, the world today is changing and the world we are facing now is the one where everything is connected. The contemporary social issues based on complex problems, complex interest, beyond borders and powers. More than 125 manuscripts from various countries were presented at this conference with around 66 of them selected to be published in proceedings. We hope by this conference, discussions on how research on Law, Economic and Government is possible in a disruptive era will give a perspective for the social and humanities studies development.
