A Sketch of the Life of Col. Daniel Whiting of Dedham, Mass., 1732-1807, with Genealogical and Biographical Notices of His Descendants, and of the Haven and Newell Families, with Extracts from Family Letters
Nathaniel Whiting immigrated in 1638 from England to Lynn, Massachu- setts, and soon moved to Dedham, Massachusetts. He married Hannah Dwight in 1643. Daniel Whiting (1732-1807), direct descendant in the fourth generation, married Mehetable Haven in 1761, and served in both the French and Indian War and the Revolutionary War. Descen- dants and relatives lived in New England, New York and elsewhere.
