Man and God

For centuries, wars have occurred and impacted human civilization deeply. As a result, many fight due to cultural differences, vested interests and even over religious beliefs. In the modern world, the rift between the West and the Middle East continues to widen due to endless acts of terrorism. How can the two regions settle their differences and cooperate fully? Take an in-depth look into the history of Islam, Jewish, and Christianity as author Ahmad Nosrati, Iranian scholar, presents this critical review of the roots of religious and political problems in the Middle East in Man and God. Man and God is a comprehensive review of the troubled relationship between the Middle East and the West...

A Letter to Intellectuals

After an intensive review of political history involving the relations of Iran with the West and with Russia during the period between the French Revolution and the present, it became apparent to me that at the expense of an always strategically important Iranian nation, these global entities were always shaping their policies so as to benefit themselves at the expense of the welfare of the Iranian people. I felt that there was always something shamefully amiss in the dealings of the Western powers and of Russia with our country (that was derived from a once majestic and imperial Persian empire), and that the outcome of such international diplomacy was invariable injurious and detrimental to...

Man and God

My objective in writing that has been recorded thus far has been to discover the root cause of the current conflict between western and Middle Eastern factions, a confrontation which has been labeled a struggle for freedom against terrorism. Such a discovery may enable us to identify a solution hopefully permanent for the seemingly futile battle we are facing. In making this attempt, questions have been raised. Among them, foremost, have deceptive foreign policies of the West led to a humiliation of people of the Middle East? Or has the conviction of certain radical Islamists like Al Qaeda that they must kill their adversaries, driven this struggle? Indeed, is all that has transpired the res...

This book provides a comprehensive introduction and practical look at the concepts and techniques readers need to get the most out of their data in real-world, large-scale data mining projects. It also guides readers through the data-analytic thinking necessary for extracting useful knowledge and business value from the data. The book is based on the Soft Computing and Data Mining (SCDM-16) conference, which was held in Bandung, Indonesia on August 18th–20th 2016 to discuss the state of the art in soft computing techniques, and offer participants sufficient knowledge to tackle a wide range of complex systems. The scope of the conference is reflected in the book, which presents a balance of...

The superfamily Chalcidoidea (Insecta, Hymenoptera) contains in excess of 26,000 described species worldwide, but with an estimated total diversity of more than 500,000 species the vast majority of species have yet to be discovered and described. Most chalcidoid species are parasitoids of hosts in at least 12 different insect orders, attacking the egg, larval or pupal stages, though phytophagy and other life cycles and hosts are known. Iran is the 18th largest country in the world and has a rich and diverse insect fauna, including Chalcidoidea. It is extremely interesting from a biogeographic point of view, and a paradise for an entomologist. This book summarizes the results of all prior research concerning species diversity of Iranian Chalcidoidea, including host records and distribution records by province in Iran as well as world distribution by country for 1,351 species of Chalcidoidea recorded from Iran through the end of 2019.
