Walter Christian Thomsen was born in 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah. His parents were Christian Peter Thomsen and Helena Kathrine Oline Marie Jensen. He married Marjorie June White, daughter of Frederick J. White and Ruth Glass, in 1938.
