Este livro reúne artigos de brasileiros, de diferentes regiões e programas de pós-graduação e, também, de um pesquisador da Espanha, especificamente da Universidad de Sevilla. Eles foram apresentados durante o Seminário de Políticas Públicas para o Futebol, realizado entre junho e agosto de 2020, de forma remota, organizado pela Secretaria Nacional de Futebol e Defesa dos Direitos do Torcedor (SNFDT) e durante o I Seminário Internacional de Estudos do Futebol e Direitos do Torcedor, realizado em novembro de 2020, de forma remota, organizado pela SNFDT e pelo Grupo de Pesquisa e Formação Sociocrítica em Educação Física, Esporte e Lazer – AVANTE, da Universidade de Brasília. Os artigos foram elaborados a partir de diferentes suportes teórico-metodológicos e procuram entender o futebol em suas entrelinhas, seja dentro da totalidade que está imerso, no contexto do capitalismo tardio e das desigualdades de gênero e raça, seja nas entrelinhas do jogo, apontando a necessidade de um currículo, com ações e medidas de avaliação, que deem conta de formar futebolistas mais inteligentes dentro e fora de campo.

The Meaning of Contemplation for Social Qualitative Research
This book offers an account of contemplative reflection in qualitative social research. Focusing on the experiences of the researcher – including sensory and emotional experiences – and the work of the mind in the investigative process, it considers the means by which the researcher’s basic assumptions can be analyzed and bracketed, so as to shed light on the process by which knowledge is produced. Through an exploration of the methods of meditation, auto-observation and self-reports, epoché, "contemplative memo-ing," and the contemplative diary, the author explores the essential role of subjectivity in qualitative research, providing inspiration for more mindful research. As such, it will appeal to scholars of sociology, anthropology, and geography with interests in phenomenology, research methods, and the role of the mind in the research process.
