The first book to offer a comprehensive view of the LLL algorithm, this text surveys computational aspects of Euclidean lattices and their main applications. It includes many detailed motivations, explanations and examples.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 27th Annual International Conference on the Theory and Applications of Cryptographic Techniques, EUROCRYPT 2008, held in Istanbul, Turkey, in April 2008. The 31 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 163 submissions. The papers address all current foundational, theoretical and research aspects of cryptology, cryptography, and cryptanalysis as well as advanced applications. The papers are organized in topical sections on cryptanalysis, signatures, encryption, curve based cryptography, hash and mac function constructions, cryptanalysis of hash and mac functions, multi-party computation, protocols, zero knowledge, foundations, and UC multi-party computation using tamper proof hardware.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Cryptographers' Track at the RSA Conference 2008, CT-RSA 2008, held in San Francisco, CA, USA in April 2008. The 26 revised full papers presented together with the abstract of 1 invited talk were carefully reviewed and selected from 95 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on hash function cryptanalysis, cryptographic building blocks, fairness in secure computation, message authentication codes, improved aes implementations, public key encryption with special properties, side channel cryptanalysis, cryptography for limited devices, invited talk, key exchange, cryptanalysis, and cryptographic protocols.
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-proceedings of the International Conference on Cryptography and Lattices, CaLC 2001, held in Providence, RI, USA in March 2001. The 14 revised full papers presented together with an overview paper were carefully reviewed and selected for inclusion in the book. All current aspects of lattices and lattice reduction in cryptography, both for cryptographic construction and cryptographic analysis, are addressed.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 4th International Algorithmic Number Theory Symposium, ANTS-IV, held in Leiden, The Netherlands, in July 2000. The book presents 36 contributed papers which have gone through a thorough round of reviewing, selection and revision. Also included are 4 invited survey papers. Among the topics addressed are gcd algorithms, primality, factoring, sieve methods, cryptography, linear algebra, lattices, algebraic number fields, class groups and fields, elliptic curves, polynomials, function fields, and power sums.
This book offers an introduction to cryptology, the science that makes secure communications possible, and addresses its two complementary aspects: cryptography—--the art of making secure building blocks—--and cryptanalysis—--the art of breaking them. The text describes some of the most important systems in detail, including AES, RSA, group-based and lattice-based cryptography, signatures, hash functions, random generation, and more, providing detailed underpinnings for most of them. With regard to cryptanalysis, it presents a number of basic tools such as the differential and linear methods and lattice attacks. This text, based on lecture notes from the author’s many courses on the ...
Crypto 2002, the 22nd Annual Crypto Conference, was sponsored by IACR, the International Association for Cryptologic Research, in cooperation with the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Security and Privacy and the Computer Science Department of the University of California at Santa Barbara. It is published as Vol. 2442 of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) of Springer Verlag. Note that 2002, 22 and 2442 are all palindromes... (Don’t nod!) ASIACRYPT 2000 was the sixth annual ASIACRYPT conference. It was sp- sored by the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR) in - operation with the Institute of Electronics, Information, and Communication Engineers (IEICE). The ?rst conference with the name ASIACRYPT took place in 1991, and the series of ASIACRYPT conferences were held in 1994, 1996, 1998, and 1999, in cooperation with IACR. ASIACRYPT 2000 was the ?rst conference in the series to be sponsored by IACR. The conference received 140 submissions (1 submission was withdrawn by the authors later), and the program committee selected 45 of these for presen- tion. Extended abstracts of the revised versions of these pap...
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 18th International Conference on Practice and Theory in Public-Key Cryptography, PKC 2015, held in Gaithersburg, MD, USA, in March/April 2015. The 36 papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 118 submissions. They are organized in topical sections named: public-key encryption; e-cash; cryptanalysis; digital signatures; password-based authentication; pairint-based cryptography; efficient constructions; cryptography with imperfect keys; interactive proofs; lattice-based cryptography; and identity-based, predicate, and functional encryption.
