SOSIO ANTROPOLOGI
Sosio Antropologi merupakan cabang ilmu sosial yang mengkaji berbagai aspek kehidupan sosial dan budaya manusia dalam konteks masyarakat. Ilmu ini lahir dari gabungan dua disiplin utama, yaitu sosiologi yang fokus pada struktur dan dinamika sosial, serta antropologi yang mempelajari kebudayaan dan perkembangan manusia dari sudut pandang historis dan evolusioner. Dalam perkembangannya, sosio antropologi menawarkan pendekatan holistik dalam memahami interaksi manusia, baik secara individu maupun kelompok, serta bagaimana nilai-nilai budaya, kepercayaan, dan kebiasaan memengaruhi kehidupan sosial mereka.

Kehadiran PT di suatu wilayah bisa memberikan sumbangsih nyata kepada masalah sosial di masyarakat. Sehingga manfaatnya semakin dirasakan masyarakat dan juga diakui. Tidak heran jika pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat masuk ke dalam tri dharma yang otomatis menjadikannya tugas pokok dosen. Dosen yang masih bingung hendak menjalankan program apa bisa mencari contoh pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Dosen dalam setiap tahunnya diharapkan bisa melaksanakan seluruh isi tri dharma perguruan tinggi dengan seimbang. Maka dosen diharapkan tak hanya melaksanakan tugas pendidikan dan penelitian, akan tetapi juga pengabdian kepada masyarakat.

The Ontario & Western?the O&W, or, as both boosters and detractors referred to it in its later years, the ?Old & Weary, ? operated from 1869-1957 and ran from Oswego on Lake Ontario to New York City, passing through the midlands and southern counties of New York State, with spurs to Utica, Kingston, Port Jervis, and Scranton, PA. Filled with colorful characters and miscellaneous machinery, O. & W. chronicles almost a century of alternating hope and heartache, prosperity and poverty, dignity and degradation. Her passing was mourned for a variety of economic and sentimental reasons, but the loss was deeply felt in an intangible way. The rambling, elderly, inefficient, accident-prone, irritating old railroad was a part of a way of life now gone from the American scene.
