A crescente busca pelo Poder Judiciário, com o intuito de buscar efetividade aos direitos fundamentais constitucionalmente tutelados, implicou o fenômeno que se convencionou chamar de Ativismo Judicial. Ocorre que tal fenômeno provoca intenso debate, pois, se por um lado é imprescindÃvel na defesa dos direitos e garantias fundamentais, por outro lado configuraria uma ultrapassagem dos limites de atuação do Poder Judiciário. Na seara penal, essa discussão ganha especial relevância, em razão do princÃpio da reserva legal que, de certa forma, poderia limitar (ou não) o Ativismo Judicial.

About Trees
About Trees considers our relationship with language, landscape, perception, and memory in the Anthropocene. The book includes texts and artwork by a stellar line up of contributors including Jorge Luis Borges, Andrea Bowers, Ursula K. Le Guin, Ada Lovelace and dozens of others. Holten was artist in residence at Buro BDP. While working on the book she created an alphabet and used it to make a new typeface called Trees. She also made a series of limited edition offset prints based on her Tree Drawings.
