“My mother had five daughters -- four of us have had breast cancer. But we survived. And you can too. I'll show you how. My methods may be unorthodoxed, but when you learn to walk in your power -- you'll know your power." --Raining Deer BCV is a thougtful, sometimes humorous but candid account of my personal journey with breast cancer. It addresses what anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer initially thinks, which is one of three things: 1. “Oh my God!” 2. “Am I going to die?” 3. “How am I going to tell my loved ones?” In BCV – Rites Of Passage For Breast Cancer Victors, I give you a roadmap for moving from breast cancer "victim" to victor by celebrating the divine...
A masterful hybrid of nature writing and cultural studies that investigates our connection with deer—from mythology to biology, from forests to cities, from coexistence to control and extermination—and invites readers to contemplate the paradoxes of how humans interact with and shape the natural world Deer have been an important part of the world that humans occupy for millennia. In the 21st century, our relationship is full of contradictions: We hunt and protect them, we cull them from suburbs while making them an icon of wilderness, we see them both as victims and as pests. But there is no doubt that we have a con...

I asked for and gained initial physical custody when my marriage ended in late 1981. The kids (Kim-age 3 , Lance-nearly age 5) and I invented a series of creative growth games which helped us focus on our values, philosophies, and have fun all the while overcoming challenges in a complex world of tremendous change. Every day started and ended with joy and thanksgiving. I wouldnt trade it for anything! For over 20 years, I have shared the fun, laughs, possible benefits & results of our lessons and techniques with audiences. I have shared the essence of my parenting lessons, which I adapted from my professional managerial and technical experiences, as an adjunct faculty member of the Universit...
