Mimi and Popo

This book is the answer to the refrain "I wish my child would read books instead of watching TV all day." Mimi and Popo is an easy introductory sight reader with flashcards. Sight reading with flashcards is simple and rewarding. Your child does not need to know the alphabet or learn phonetic sounds. All you need to do is show the cards in recommended order and say the word aloud. 10 minutes a day, a few words a week and in no time your child will start enjoying books. Research has shown, that if you can read 25 words, you will be able to read approximately one-third of all printed material in English. 12 of these 25 words can be found in this book. Some children learn at a slower pace than others, so make sure you follow your child's pace. Play games with the flashcards, use them to make sentences, let your child have fun with the set of flashcards and discover the joy of reading his/her very first book.

Savi and the Memory Keeper

Funny, thoughtful, and deeply moving--with a unique blend of fantasy and actual science--this novel explores both personal grief in the face of family loss and collective grief in the face of climate crisis, and how the only way to move forward is through friendship of all kinds. In Shajarpur, everyone is always happy. The weather is always perfect. But newcomer Savi, a lonely teenager, doesn't know what happiness means anymore. If she were to make a list of things that were the absolute worst, moving to Shajarpur would be right on top. Well, right after missing her father, who just died of a heart attack. As Savi grapples with loss in a strange new town, she discovers something startling. N...

“Women of the Word will help all who read it to find their way deeper into the Word of God without having to be seminary educated, a genius, or even an especially good student.” —Kathy Keller We all know it’s important to study God’s Word. But sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. What’s more, a lack of time, emotionally driven approaches, and past frustrations can erode our resolve to keep growing in our knowledge of Scripture. How can we, as Christian women, keep our focus and sustain our passion when reading the Bible? With over 250,000 copies sold, Women of the Word has helped countless women with a clear and concise plan they can use every time they open their Bible. Featuring the same content as the first edition, and now with added study questions at the end of each chapter, this book equips you to engage God’s Word in a way that trains your mind and transforms your heart.

The First Drawing

The First Drawing

Imagine you were born before the invention of drawing, more than thirty thousand years ago. You would live with your whole family in a cave and see woolly mammoths walk by! You might even see images of animals hidden in the shapes of clouds and rocks. You would want to share these pictures with your family, but wouldn't know how. Who would have made the world's first drawing? Would it have been you? In The First Drawing, Caldecott Medal winner Mordicai Gerstein imagines the discovery of drawing...and inspires the young dreamers and artists of today.
