Mahasiswa sebagai peserta didik adalah stakeholder inti dalam pelayanan akademik. Kepuasan pelayanan yang diterima oleh mahasiswa sebagai stakeholder inti ini menjadi tonggak keberlangsungan Perguruan Tinggi dan peningkatan animo mahasiswa. Hal ini terjadi karena kepuasan mahasiswa akan berdampak pada loyalitasnya terhadap Perguruan Tinggi. Manajemen pelayanan menjadi masalah yang berkembang di beberapa Perguruan Tinggi di Indonesia, termasuk di Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri. Dari beberapa penelitian juga ditemukan hasil bahwa ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi pelayanan, yaitu faktor realibility (keandalan), responsiveness (daya tanggap), assurance (jaminan), empathy (kemampuan membina hubungan), dan tangible (bukti langsung). Maka dengan hadirnya Buku Manajemen Pelayanan dalam Perspektif Islam yang juga merupakan outcome dari hasil penelitian yang bersumber dari Dana BOPTN Tahun 2023 ini, diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan rujukan konseptual pada Mata Kuliah Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia, Manajemen Kinerja, dan Manajemen Pelayanan. The book includes texts and artwork by a stellar line up of contributors including Jorge Luis Borges, Andrea Bowers, Ursula K. Le Guin, Ada Lovelace and dozens of others. Holten was artist in residence at Buro BDP. While working on the book she created an alphabet and used it to make a new typeface called Trees. She also made a series of limited edition offset prints based on her Tree Drawings.
