The essays in this overview of Roman Ondáks work call his pieces "poetic non-events," and "situations." What kinds of non-events exactly? A while ago he parked some vintage Slovak Skodas, with old plates, outside a gallery. Slovakian artist Roman Ondák (born 1966) is well known for his interventions in exhibition rooms and architectural spaces, extracting everyday objects and found images and repositioning them in (sometimes participatory) installations.
