Educação made in Rio Grande do Norte
Este trabalho foi originalmente apresentado como tese de doutorado na UFRN e analisa os programas educacionais implementados nos governos estaduais de Aluízio Alves (1961-1965) e Monsenhor Walfredo Gurgel (1966-1970), no Rio Grande do Norte, financiados pelo programa estadunidense Aliança para o Progresso. Demonstra-se a influência do ímpeto desenvolvimentista adotado como prerrogativa para a modernização, assim como as ideais americanistas que foram implementadas na educação. Destacam-se as prescrições do Programa Cooperativo de Educação, voltadas para a ampliação da escolarização e a erradicação do analfabetismo, com a experiência-piloto de Angicos e Quintas, o Regimento Interno das Escolas Primárias de 1964 e o Sistema de Ensino de 1966, revelando as formas sutis de controle e conformação social, utilizadas pelo Estado, visando alcançar as demandas do sistema econômico vigente.

The four-volume set LNCS 8517, 8518, 8519 and 8520 constitutes the proceedings of the Third International Conference on Design, User Experience and Usability, DUXU 2014, held as part of the 16th International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction, HCII 2014, held in Heraklion, Crete, Greece in June 2014, jointly with 13 other thematically similar conferences. The total of 1476 papers and 220 posters presented at the HCII 2014 conferences were carefully reviewed and selected from 4766 submissions. These papers address the latest research and development efforts and highlight the human aspects of design and use of computing systems. The papers accepted for presentation thoroughly cover the entire field of Human-Computer Interaction, addressing major advances in knowledge and effective use of computers in a variety of application areas. The total of 256 contributions included in the DUXU proceedings were carefully reviewed and selected for inclusion in this four-volume set. Multisensory Human-Food Interaction
Our food experiences can be significantly influenced by both intrinsic and extrinsic multisensory information. Therefore, it is crucial to understand and apply the principles that govern the systematic connections that exist between the senses in the context of Human-Food Interaction (HFI). In our Research Topic, namely Multisensory Human-Food Interaction (MHFI), several studies that consider such connections in the context of HFI are presented. We also have contributions that focus on multisensory technologies that can be used to share and reproduce specific HFIs. This eBook, which resulted from the Research Topic, presents some of the most recent developments in the field of MHFI. In particular, it consists of two main sections and corresponding articles. The eBook begins with the Editorial, which provides an overview of MHFI. Then, it includes six articles that relate to principles in MHFI and three on technologies in MHFI. We hope that the different contributions featured here will support future developments in MHFI research.
