Charles Crohn (1833/1852-1939) immigrated from Norway to work on Mississippi riverboats in 1870, and later settled in Manistee, Michigan, where he married Bertha Rasmussen in 1885, moving in 1891 to Minneapolis, Minnesota, and in 1893 moving to land in Anoka County, Minnesota. Descendants lived in Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Arkansas, California and elsewhere.
