Saccadic Eye Movements as an Endophenotype for Alcoholism
The purpose of this study was to investigate the utility of saccadic eye movements as an endophenotype (or biological marker) for alcoholism. Seventy-five subjects (36 male, 39 female) participated in two testing sessions, designed to measure the effects of alcohol on eye movement performance and to investigate the relationship between eye movement performance and family history/personality variables.
