ÿMC Flux, AKA Carl Rodney Thomas, is a top drum and bass MC, a UK pioneer in this type of dance music. But Flux has spent plenty of time on the dark side and dicing with the law ? he has often been in the front line during violent clashes at soccer matches, and his involvement with drugs led to him serving a prison sentence for false imprisonment and demanding money with menaces. This is his raw, colourful story, written with the help of his close friend Peter Spence, better known in the dance world as Pete Nice. Vivid and explicit, this is not a story for the faint-hearted.

In The Crowd: A Book of Images of The Jam is by avid fan and photographer Derek D'Souza. Most of the images in the book were taken at gigs and sound checks between 1979 and 1982 and captures how most Jam fans who managed to see the band perform live remember them best, seen from the crowd up there on stage. Derek was invited by the band to be the photographer for the Absolute Beginners record sleeve in 1981, images from that session in London's Chiswick Park, plus other unseen images of memorabilia are also included.

2017 is the 40th anniversary of the start of Paul Weller’s recording career. His first album, In The City, which he recorded with The Jam, was released in 1977. He then went on to record a further 22 albums with The Jam, The Style Council and his solo career. Sounds from the Studio starts in 2015 with the release of his most recent album Saturn’s Pattern then works backwards to the groundbreaking debut from The Jam - In the City. The book includes interviews with artists who have worked with Paul including Noel Gallagher, Steve Cradock, Sir Peter Blake, Mick Talbot, and both Rick Buckler and Bruce Foxton from The Jam as well as many of the studio hands, sleeve designers and interviews with members from Paul’s family.
