Mas a viagem no navio é calamitosa, uma nuvem de pessoas atoladas na própria imundície, e a chegada ao Rio de Janeiro oferece desafios inesperados. Rosário vive como uma escrava e vê o futuro esfumar-se. Perde o rumo, a virgindade e a esperança. Precisa de reagir, mas isso implica tornar-se uma pessoa totalmente diferente.

Vor dem Hintergrund tatsächlicher historischer Ereignisse und wenig bekannter Verstrickungen entfaltet Georg Franzky Cabral eine Familiensaga, die zugleich einen tiefen Einblick in die Befindlichkeiten der beiden Völker gewährt.
