Relações Internacionais
A presente obra surge como propósito natural de uma intensa jornada acadêmica, a VII Semana de Relações Internacionais da Unesp, onde ficam expostos as mais diversas reflexões, idéias e argumentos, por parte de professores, alunos de pós-graduação e pesquisadores ou intelectuais convidados. Trata-se de um trabalho coletivo, onde a união dos esforços solitários de cada participante, no caso, cada autor deste livro, financiado pela Capes, se centra nas observações dos últimos anos a respeito dos fenômenos mais importantes para as Relações Internacionais. Os referidos fenômenos formam um complexo caleidoscópio de novos e velhos temas. Política, economia, paz, meio ambiente e gênero: são alguns deles que nos serviram para agrupar os textos. Na verdade, nos escritos ora publicados há, em seu interior, também outros temas tão relevantes quanto os elencados, certamente também novos e velhos, mas todos eles atuais, objeto da percuciente análise dos nossos autores.
Diálogos Sul-Americanos
Este livro é resultado da convergência de dois processos complementares. Por um lado, reúne os textos apresentados na quarta edição do Simpósio de Pós-Graduação em Relações Internacionais, evento acadêmico bienal promovido pelo Programa Interinstitucional (Unesp/Unicamp/PUC/SP) “San Tiago Dantas”. Por outro, congrega os trabalhos desenvolvidos a partir do Projeto Internacional de Extensão Universitária “Observatório de Política Exterior”, que envolve acadêmicos brasileiros, argentinos e uruguaios. Assim, ambos os processos representam 10 anos de esforços em estudar, compartilhar e informar sobre a Política Externa, especialmente a Política Exterior Brasileira.

European Values

ECO-COMPASS
Today, mainly man-made materials, such as carbon and glass fibers, are used to produce composite parts in aviation. Renewable materials, such as natural fibers or bio-sourced resin systems, have not yet found their way into aviation. The project ECO-COMPASS aims to evaluate the potential applications of ecologically improved composite materials in the aviation sector in an international collaboration of Chinese and European partners. Natural fibers such as flax and ramie will be used for different types of reinforcements and sandwich cores. Furthermore, bio-based epoxy resins to substitute bisphenol-A based epoxy resins in secondary structures are under investigation. Adapted material protection technologies to reduce environmental influence and to improve fire resistance are needed to fulfil the demanding safety requirements in aviation. Modelling and simulation of chosen eco-composites aims for an optimized use of materials while a Life Cycle Assessment aims to prove the ecological advantages compared to synthetic state-of-the-art materials. This Special Issue provides selected papers from the project consortium partners.
