Practice-Driven Research on Enterprise Transformation
This volume constitutes the proceedings of the Second Working Conference on Practice-Driven Research on Enterprise Transformation (PRET), held in Delft, The Netherlands, on November 11, 2010. PRET acts as a platform to bridge the gap between theory and practice, and strives for synergy and cross-fertilization between industry and academia. Thus all authors have been asked to combine theory and practice by using real-life case studies and referring to practical experiences. The 9 papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 24 submissions, and are grouped in three sections on situational transformation; portfolio, program and project management; and enterprise architecture to align business and IT.

Agil-systemische, situationsspezifisch anpassbare Methoden bieten zielführende Lösungen, den Problemen im Projektmanagement zu begegnen und Projekte erfolgreich zum Ziel zu führen; denn nicht nur das Management von Großprojekten bringt Probleme mit sich, sondern es sind auch immer wieder „kleinere“ Softwareprojekte, die scheitern. Agile IT-Projekte erfolgreich gestalten
Vor dem Hintergrund zahlreicher fehlgeschlagener IT-Projekte untersucht Jonathan Brandstäter die Potenziale eines ergänzenden Risikomanagements für die Steuerung agiler Projekte unter Anwendung von Scrum. Er analysiert, wie Scrum mit Risiken umgeht und welche Verbesserungspotenziale innerhalb des Risikomanagements existieren. Darüber hinaus entwickelt der Autor eine Methode, die dazu beiträgt, den richtigen Risikomanagementansatz als Ergänzung zu Scrum auszuwählen. Zur Validierung der Methode wendet er sie auf vier Risikomanagementansätze an, evaluiert einen geeigneten Ansatz mithilfe einer Nutzwertanalyse und passt ihn so an, dass alle Schwachstellen behoben werden und zugleich die Agilität steigt.

Tobias Spichtig: Pretty Fine
In Spichtig's work a similar push and pull between attachment and repellence produces a certain form of iconicity, but one that does not ask for devotion. You recognise something about the pictures, and want to be in proximity to this something, congratulate yourself on how it resonates, bask in the cool, grunge speed of it. But the familiarity at play here stems not from likeness--to you, or your life--but from strangeness. What you recognise is not the content but the outline; if an experience, then of absence... It was actually Stichtig who told me what Marlene Dietrich said of how to keep an audience hooked: who is the one person everyone knows? The one who is not there. "Sing to them," she said. Dietrich and Spichtig practice seduction without betrayal. It is also iconicity without idealism, or even idology. Let me try another one: recollection without memory?
