Francis McDonald (1851-1920) was born at Middleton Farm, in the parish of Lintrathen, Scotland, the son of William and Christina Wallace McDonald. He immigrated to the United States and migrated west with the Mormon pioneers, arriving at Salt Lake City in 1868. He married Zenobia Anderson (1847-1920), a native of Carlow, Ireland, in 1870 at the Endowment House, Salt Lake City. They had nine children, 1871-1887. He married 2) Emily Rozella Stevenson (1865-1946) in 1885 at the Endowment House. They had eleven children, 1886-1908. The family lived in the Holladay area of Salt Lake. Descendants lived in Utah, Wyoming, California and elsewhere.
